With the summer in full swing, we decided to analyze which artists and tracks were the most popular in the first half of 2009.

With the likes of Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim, Guy Gerber, Dubfire, and John Dahlback making the Beatport Best Sellers of 2009 chart, the list is packed full of anthems.

But there are also some surprises too, with newcomers Riktam & Bansi seemingly having scored one of the biggest progressive house tracks of the year, and Marshall & Baldo delivering a sleeper techno mega hit on ‘Black Conga’.

Up and coming producers Nadastrom, Alex Kenji, Chris Kaeser, and Andrea Roma also feature.
